Your answers are yours.

Sociogene is built on trust, so we collect as little as possible and we are plain about what we keep. The short version: you can take the assessment and see your full result without giving us anything personal. We only store something that identifies you if you choose to give us your email. We never sell your data, and we never publish your organization's result. Here is the detail.

Taking the assessment anonymously.

You can complete the assessment and see your archetype, your signature, and where you sit on the field without an account and without giving any personal information. When you do, we keep only your de-identified answers, the four scores that place you on the map, with no name, no email, and nothing that identifies you or your organization. These anonymous scores help us show the field and understand how associations vary. They cannot be traced back to you.

If you choose to share your email.

At the end, you can ask us to email your result or send a fuller report. Only then do we store anything that identifies you: your email address and your result. Giving your email also creates a simple, passwordless account, so you can return to your dashboard and watch your shape change over time. We ask for an organizational email and do not accept free consumer providers, because Sociogene is for associations and their teams. You confirm your email by clicking a link we send, and until you click it, nothing identifying you is stored.

How we use what we collect.

De-identified scores let us show the field, build benchmarks, study how associations operate, and improve the model, and they are never tied to you. Your email and result, if you opted in, let us send what you asked for, sign you in without a password, show your dashboard, and, only with your agreement, send occasional updates you can stop at any time.

Sharing is always your choice.

Your result is private by default. If you decide to share it, you create a shareable page that you control and can take down at any time. We never make your result public on our own.

What we never do.

We never sell or rent your data. We never attach your organization's name to a result without your action. And we never rank or grade you, because Sociogene describes patterns, not performance.

Cookies and analytics.

We use a small amount of privacy-friendly analytics to see how the site is used and to improve it, and we keep this minimal and avoid invasive tracking.

Your choices and rights.

You can ask to see, correct, or delete the information we hold, and you can delete your account at any time. The simplest way is the Contact page, choosing "data request," or emailing hello@sociogene.com. We reply within a few days.

Keeping your data safe.

We keep identifying data only as long as it is useful to you and protect it with reasonable safeguards. De-identified scores may be kept to support the field and research, since they cannot be linked back to you.

Changes.

If we update this policy, we will change the date below and flag anything meaningful.
